For lovers of adventure, one option is to visit the Togoganes de Songos (Huarochirí). Located at kilometer 63 of the Carretera Central, this destination offers hikes through different slopes upstream, crossing obstacles and climbing natural waterfalls.

How to get to Songos?

The Caserío de Songos is located in the district of San Jerónimo de Surco (Huarochirí), less than 3 hours from the city of Lima. We arrived here through the Central Highway. At kilometer 63, in the middle of a long curve, we find the welcome arch “Linday – Songos“.

After crossing the arc we continue along a short path that crosses the river to an area of ​​houses. Towards the right we have a parking area for vehicles and private land where you can camp; On the left we reach the control post and access to the Linday ravine.

The best time to visit

The best season to tour all the waterfalls and enjoy the slides of this beautiful place is between the months of April and November; where the tour is quieter and a much more relaxing ecosystem; although some extreme adventurers prefer to visit them between December and March, which is the rainy season, where the waterfalls of Songos receive much more water than in other months.
